Guys, seriously, I know EA is trouble... but www.edge-online.com/news/ea-commits-hollywoodWTF. You think there's gonna be a Sims movie or something? Will the lines be filled in with 'yabba yabba yabba' and if they kiss will they then scream 'WAHOO!' At the rate EA is taking over things, I wonder if they can get done like Microsoft did for corporate hijacking. I love UO. I just wish EA didn't own it. I would have loved Warhammer online, but EA owns it. I probably would have loved seeing new movies, but it looks like EA is gonna own that too. Wait a min... its comming to me now! -Actors and those in performing arts practice a form of roleplay. (They are just far far more convincing in their roles than we simple table toppers and digital sitters.) -EA (as concerns WH Online and other games) said they didn't want to indulge the RP community. Maybe EA is trying to kill all creative thoughtful imagination! Wow, they are trying to rule the world with crappy Madden games and crummy second life rip offs.

Electronic Arts. The company that singlehandedly manages to curse anything they lay their hands on. I had high hopes for the company when they implemented a new CEO (followed by some serious excitement over Warhammer and the advent of Kingdom Reborn), but they quickly have returned to their own philosophies. Its pretty bad when the company is known less for their creative talent (as opposed to SquareEnix), or their fun factor (Activision-Blizzard); but instead are known by how much money they manage to rake in.
I don't think a marriage between Hollywood and EA will last, atleast not unless Electronic Arts rethinks how they do business (which they haven't done thus far). Peter Jackson commented that it was a nightmare working with the company when they were producing the Lord of the Rings games; they basically brushed him aside and made it clear that they didn't care for his input. He vowed never to work with the company again. Plus, I really do not see "The Sims Movie" or "The Madden Movie" being anything more than a minor success amongst the main fanbase.
